Event Schedule:

Parking: In order to minimize parking issues at the park, we have arranged to use the parking lot at Glacier Ridge Elementary School (just across the street). We ask that all those without disability permits to park at the elementary school and follow the short trail. Signs will be posted at the park and volunteers will direct traffic to appropriate parking locations.5/9/2009
Sign-in and registration: For those who have pre-registered, you will sign-in at the tables near the shelter house at the park. For those registering on the day of the walk, there will be registration tables set up in the parking lot of the elementary school (so we can minimize money transactions on park property).5/9/2009
Donations: For those turning in donations on the day of the walk, please turn them in at the registration table at the elementary school (to minimize money transactions on park property). Even if you have pre-registered, please drop off your donations with a volunteer at this registration table. Last-minute donations will be included in your total.5/9/2009
Walk information: Festivities begin at 10 am. We will have music, facepainters, and balloons for anyone interested. The walk begins at 11 am, with 1 mile and 3 mile route options. We will begin and end the walk at the shelter house of Glacier Ridge Metro Park. Please make sure you get there in plenty of time to sign-in or register and put on your t-shirt!5/9/2009
Pictures: We will ask for each team captain to let us know when their team has finished the walk. We will take a team picture and send it by email to the team captain after the walk. If you are not registered as part of a team, please check in when you return if you would like an individual or group picture.5/9/2009
Prizes: The team with the highest amount of pledge money raised (including the pledges of everyone on their team) and the top 3 individuals with the highest amount of pledge money raised will be announced and recognized, given their prizes, and have their pictures taken after the walk.5/9/2009
Raffle: The raffle-ticket drawing will take place after the walk. When all team captains have indicated their team members have returned and all (or at least the majority) of individual walkers have returned, we will announce the ticket numbers of the winners. Be sure to stick around after the walk for these four prizes - you must be present to win!5/9/2009
